Log out, restart, or shut down end-user devices via the Devices page and Agent console, and schedule these shutdown actions for a later date.
Shutdown actions
We strongly suggest giving the end user a heads-up on the upcoming shutdown action so they can get their ducks in a row and save their work — and avoid having a total meltdown.
Devices page
To log out, restart, or shut down an end-user device:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), locate the device.
2. Click Manage > More Tools > Shutdown actions and select:
Note: For MacOS and Linux devices, click Manage > Shutdown Actions and select:
- Log out: This will sign out the current user from their device, closing all running applications before ending the session.
- Restart: This will reboot the end-user device, closing all running applications before restarting.
- Shut down: This will power off the end-user device, closing all running applications before shutting down.
The Log out / Restart / Shut down window appears.
3. Confirm the shutdown request.
The end user will be notified of the shutdown action via a toast notification, featuring the company name, unless they are already logged out.
Agent Console
To log out, restart, or shut down an end-user device:

The Device page appears.
2. Click Manage > Shutdown actions and select:
