How to Monitor Disk Corruption?

You can monitor specific disk events by adding them into the threshold profile. 

To Monitor disk corruption, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Admin > Threshold profile

Edit or create new Threshold profile.

2. To create new profile, click on Add Profile:

Note: Click here the following link "Customizing the Threshold Profile"

3. To edit an existing Threshold profile, click one of the existing profiles in the list:

4. Add or Edit a Threshold item name "Events By Source".

5. Add the specific Event ID in the Source Name/ID field: 

6. Click apply.

7. Click Save.

The device has a bad block of memory, which Windows attempted to read. The data might be missing or corrupted.

User Action: If this event is logged regularly, replace the hard disk drive.

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.

The device either timed out or is not present.

User Action: No user action is required.

The driver detected that the device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 has its write cache enabled. Data corruption may occur.

{Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file data from Buffers to \...\DP(1)0-0+5. The write operation failed, and only some of the data may have been written to the file.

When your computer pages information to or from the disk, if a generic error occurs, it logs an Event ID 51event message. In a paging operation, the operating system either swaps a page of memory from memory to disk or retrieves a page of memory from disk to memory. It is part of the memory management of Microsoft Windows.

The driver has detected that device has predicted that it will fail. Immediately back up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent.

Means: The device will soon fail, and unsaved data will be lost.

User Action: Back up your data immediately, and then replace the hard disk drive.
