Installing a Remote Monitoring Agent

The fundamental element of the Atera monitoring system is the Atera Agent.

There is no limit to the number of Agents that can be installed either on Servers or Workstations. Agents can be installed in three different ways:

  • Single Agent Installation Install per Device (Workstation or Server)
  • Multiple Agent Installation Deployed on a whole network rapidly
  • Logon Script Installation - An agent deployment Logon Script must be installed on the Domain Controller so that a new Device will receive the Agent

Note: The Agent Deployment Tool needs to be downloaded to the target network.

Download Agent Tool

1. Click the + sign in the top right of the screen to enable the dropdown menu
2. Then select Download Agent
3. The Agent executable file will download – follow the prompts on your browser.
4. Open the Atera Agent Setup executable file. You can choose to install the file on the Device or in the target Network for deploying the Agents.
