Solution

  • Typically due to insufficient permissions
  • Elevate permissions of Backup Service Controller to System or Domain Admin account
    1. Go to service.msc
    2. Click on Datashield Backup service
    3. Right-click and select Properties
    4. Click Log On tab
    5. Change from 'Local System Account' to a System or Domain Admin account
    6. Restart the Backup Service Controller service
    7. Run new backup and confirm issue is corrected
