Help CenterA 'threshold profile' determines the alerts you receive about your site’s devices. It can be customized by many parameters (memory usage, CPU load, etc), as well as by the alert types (information, warning, critical) you receive. A basic default threshold profile (set with Atera presets) is automatically assigned to all newly installed agents. However, you can edit the threshold profile or create a new one. After creating a new profile, you must assign it to your agents, folders, or site(s) for it to take effect.
Note:
- Agents assigned to a specific site will automatically receive the default threshold profile for that site.
- By assigning a new threshold profile to a folder, you will override any profiles previously assigned at the site level.
- By assigning a new threshold profile to an individual agent, you will override any profiles assigned at the folder and site levels.
Assign a threshold profile
Assign a threshold profile to an agent
Assigning a threshold profile at the agent level will override any threshold profiles assigned at the folder and/or site level.
To assign a threshold profile to an agent:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), select your device.
The Device page appears.
2. Click Manage next to Threshold Profile (right-hand side of the screen).
The Select threshold profile window appears.
3. Select the threshold profile from the dropdown menu. Then click Apply.
The threshold profile is now assigned to the agent.
Assign a threshold profile to all agents
To assign a threshold profile to all agents/devices:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), check the Select All checkbox.
Note: To select all your devices, make sure no filters are enabled.
2. Click Assign threshold profile.
The Assign threshold profile window appears.
3. Select the threshold profile from the dropdown menu. Then click Apply.
The threshold profile is now assigned to all agents/devices.
Assign a threshold profile to a folder
To assign a threshold profile to a folder:
1. From Sites (on the sidebar), select your site.
The Site page appears.
2. Click the Devices tab at the top of the Site page.
3. Select the Folders tab and choose the folder from the dropdown menu.
Note: You cannot assign a specific threshold profile to the default 'Unassigned' folder.
Devices within the selected folder appear.
4. Click Actions and select Threshold Profile from the menu options.
The Select threshold profile window appears.
5. Select the threshold profile. Then click Apply.
The threshold profile is now assigned to the devices in the selected folder.
Assign a threshold profile to a site
To assign a threshold profile to a site:
1. From Sites (on the sidebar), select your site.
The Site page appears.
2. Click the Devices tab at the top of the page. Then click the All tab.
3. Select all devices. Then click the Assign threshold profile icon ().
The Select threshold profile window appears.
5. Select the threshold profile from the dropdown menu. Then click Apply.
The threshold profile is now assigned to all devices for the selected site.
Remove a threshold profile
This section describes removing a threshold profile from an agent, multiple agents, and a site.
Remove a threshold profile from an agent
To remove a threshold profile from an individual agent/device:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), select your device.
The Device page appears.
2. Click Manage next to Threshold Profile (right-hand side of the screen).
The Select threshold profile window appears.
3. Select 'None' from the dropdown menu. Then click Apply.
The threshold profile has now been removed from the device.
Remove a threshold profile from all agents
To remove a threshold profile from all agents/devices:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), check the Select all checkbox.

4. Select 'None' from the dropdown menu. Then click Apply.
