Stay organized with Atera's 'Password Manager', which enables you to add and associate an unlimited number of passwords with devices, customers, or contacts. Now you can keep track of all passwords associated with each of your customers, for easy access when needed. For security, all passwords are encrypted with AES throughout the system.

Passwords can be added on an agent, a customer, or a contact page.

Important notes
- The password manager only stores passwords within the designated entity.
- Passwords in the password manager cannot be synchronized with external systems.
- OTPs cannot be stored in the password manager.
- There is no option to export the passwords stored within the password manager.
Agent passwords
To add a password:
- From Devices (on the sidebar), select the device.
The Device page appears.
- Click the Passwords tab. The Passwords list appears.
- Click + New password. The New Password slideout appears.
Fill in the fields (fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required):
- Name*: Enter the password name that will appear in the Passwords list.
- Login URL: Enter the URL associated with the login for this password, if applicable.
- Username: Enter the corresponding username for this password.
- Password: Enter the password you want to store and manage.
- Domain: Enter the domain associated with the password, if applicable.
- Category: Choose from a variety of categories, such as Cloud service, Credit card, and Email.
- Extra value: Enter any additional values related to the password, such as PINs or security codes.
- Note: Enter any additional notes as needed.
- Click Create. The password is saved and appears in the Passwords tab.

Site passwords
Add a password to a site:
1. From Sites (on the sidebar), select the site.
The Site page appears.
2. From the Passwords tab, click New password.
The New password slideout appears.
3. Fill in the fields:
- Name: Enter the password name.
- Login URL: Enter the login URL (if applicable).
- Username: Enter the username associated with the passord.
- Password: Enter the password.
- Domain: Enter the domain.
- Category type: Select the category type (e.g., Cloud service, Email, Windows login).

User passwords
Add a password to a user:
1. From the Sites page (on the side panel), select the site.
The Site page appears.
2. From the Users tab, select the user.
The User page appears.
3. From the Password manager tab, click the plus icon ().
The Password manager page appears.
4. Fill in the fields (fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required).
- Description*: Enter the password description that will appear in the View Password screen.
- Target*: Select the association target. You can associate the password with a customer, contact, agent, or any non-agent device.

- Select [target]*: Choose the specific association target for the password.
- Category type: Choose from a variety of categories, such as Cloud service, Credit card, and Email.

- Username: Enter the corresponding username for this password.
- Password: Enter the password you want to store and manage.
- Extra value (numeric): Enter any additional numerical values related to the password, such as PINs or security codes.
- Notes: Enter any additional notes as needed.
Click Save.
The password appears within the Password Manager tab on the User page. Click the chevron icon to view password details.

Customer passwords
Add a password to a customer
1. From Customers (on the sidebar), select the customer.
The Customer page appears.
2. Click the Passwords tab, then the '+' icon.
The Add password page appears.
3. Fill in the form and click on Save.
- Description: This is the password description and will appear in the View Password screen, once created.
- Target: Select the association target. You can associate the password with a customer, contact, agent, or any non-agent device.

- Complete other fields as desired.

Add a password to a contact:
1. From the Customers page (on the side panel), click on the specific customer.
The customer's page appears
2. Click on the Contacts section and select the desired contact.
3. On the Contact page, go to Password Manager and click on '+' to add a password.
The Add password page appears.

You can view, edit, or delete passwords from a device console, site, or user page.
