There are plenty of ways to update your devices; want to install one patch on multiple devices, or hit a single device with a bunch of patches? Whatever you're after, you'll find the steps below.
Update most vulnerable devices
Note:
- The device must be online to install updates.
- When bulk installing patches, we recommend reviewing the target devices beforehand. A bulk update could trigger unexpected reboots, impact performance during work hours, or apply patches to devices you didn’t intend to update.
To update your most vulnerable devices:
1. Go to Patch Management.
2. From the Top vulnerable devices tile, locate the device and click the number in the Missing patches column.
The Patch management window appears, listing available and installed patches in separate tabs.
3. In the Available patches tab, select the patches. Then click Install.
The installation request is sent to the agent. Check the Recent Processes report for updates.
Install top missing OS patches
Note:
- You can set queue preferences for offline devices.
- When bulk installing patches, we recommend reviewing the target devices beforehand. A bulk update could trigger unexpected reboots, impact performance during work hours, or apply patches to devices you didn’t intend to update.
To install the top missing OS patches:
1. Go to Patch Management.
2. From the Top missing OS patches tile, locate the patch and click the number in the Devices column.
The Patch window appears, listing all devices missing the patch.
3. Select the devices and your patch installation preference. Then click Install.
The installation request is sent to the agents. Check the Recent Processes report for updates.
Install available OS patches
Note:

Update devices missing critical patches
To update a device missing critical patches:
1. Go to Patch Management.
2. From the Action Center, click Devices missing critical patches.
The Devices tab appears.
3. Locate the device and click Manage in the Available patches column.
The Patch management window appears.
4. In the Available patches tab, select the patches. Then click Install.
The installation request is sent to the agent. Check the Recent Processes report for updates.
Update devices missing OS patches
To update a device missing OS patches:
1. Go to Patch Management.
2. From the Action Center, click Devices missing OS patches.

Install software updates
Note: The device must be online to install software.
To update a device missing software updates:
1. Go to Patch Management.
2. From the Action Center, click Devices missing software updates.
The Devices tab appears.
3. Locate the device and click the number pill under the Software updates column.
The device's Software inventory window appears.
You can filter the list by patches that have an available update.
4. Click the ellipses icon on a patch. Then select Update.
The update command is sent to the agent. Check the Recent Processes report for updates.
Uninstall Windows patches
Note: Uninstallation is only available for patches that Microsoft supports for removal.
Uninstall from a single device
Note: The device must be online to uninstall software.
To uninstall Windows patches from a single device:
1. Go to Patch Management > Devices.
2. Locate the device and click Manage in the Available patches column.
The Patch management window appears.
3. From the Installed patches tab, locate the patch and click Uninstall.
A confirmation window appears.
Click Uninstall to confirm the request.
The uninstall request is sent to the agent. Check the Recent Processes report for updates.
