The new and improved Global search bar in Atera is your all-in-one gateway to instantly find what you need across your entire workspace. Whether you’re tracking down a device, digging into a ticket, or jumping to a customer's profile, Global search helps you skip the clicks and get to the right information, without the friction.
Navigate Global search
Global search offers a streamlined way to navigate between multiple entity types. The All tab displays results grouped by entity, while individual tabs let you zero in on exactly what you're after.
Searchable entities include:
- Tickets: Ticket title, Ticket ID, Comments, Custom fields.
- Devices: Agents, SNMP, TCP, HTTP, Generic, System name, Domain, User, IP address, MAC address, Serial number, Custom fields.
- Sites: Site name, Business ID, Custom fields.
- Users: First name, Last name, Email, Phone, Custom fields.
- Customers: Customer name, Business ID, Custom fields.
- Contacts: First name, Last name, Email, Phone, Custom fields.
- Technicians: Technician name, Email.
Note: When searching by MAC address, up to 5 addresses per device are indexed: 1 primary and 4 additional. If a device reports more than 5, only the primary and 4 others (randomly selected) will be included in search results.
You can also narrow your search by selecting specific entities you want to include from the search filter. For example, if you don't need technicians in your search results, uncheck the box and they'll be excluded moving forward. This helps refine your results even further to show only what you're looking for. Global Search remembers your preferences, so your setup is ready whenever you are.
Take quick actions from results
Global search doesn't just help you find the data you need, it lets you act on it too. Skip the extra navigation and perform quick actions directly from your search results to keep things moving.
