Defining your work and holiday schedules is important for billing purposes and setting customer expectations. It is also a necessary component in creating a Service Level Agreement (SLA). Create a Business hours calendar within Atera to specify a work schedule and holidays.
Defining your work and holiday schedules is important for setting end-user expectations. It is also a necessary component in creating a Service Level Agreement (SLA). Create a Business hours calendar within Atera to specify a work schedule and holidays.
Create a Business hours calendar
A Business hours calendar includes a work schedule (working days and hours) and Holidays (non-working days).
To create a business hours calendar:
1. Go to Admin > Support and ticketing > Business hours.
1. Go to Admin > Business administration > Business hours.
The Business hours page appears.
2. Click Add business hours to create a new calendar.
The New business hours calendar page appears.
3. Give your calendar a name and description.
Note: The timezone is automatically set based on your account settings, and can be changed from Admin > Account settings > General.
4. From the Work schedule tab, select Custom to choose your working days and hours, or select Always available (24/7) to set around the clock working hours.
Copy to all selected days: Select the checkboxes for the desired working days, set the time for the first day, and then click Copy to all selected days to apply that time across all selected days.
5. Optionally add holidays. Then click Create.
Add holiday
1. Go to Admin > Support and ticketing > Business hours.
1. Go to Admin > Business administration > Business hours.
The Business hours page appears.
2. Select a calendar, or create a new one.
3. From the Holidays tab, click Add holiday.
The Add Holiday window appears.
3. Enter a Name, Start date, and End date. Then click Add.
4. Click Save.
Remove holiday
1. Go to Admin > Support and ticketing > Business hours.
1. Go to Admin > Business administration > Business hours.
The Business hours page appears.
2. Select a calendar and go to the Holidays tab.
3. Click the menu button () next to the holiday you want to remove. Then click Delete.
