When a technician's credentials (username or password) are updated, all of their active sessions end automatically, keeping the account safe and secure. The technician will need to sign in again using their new credentials.
Change a Technician's password
Note: If MFA for protected actions is enabled on your account, you'll be asked to verify your identity using multi-factor authentication (MFA) to confirm the change. You won't be prompted if you've already completed MFA verification within the last 24 hours, or if you're signed in via Single sign-on (SSO).
1. Go to Admin > Users and security > Technicians.
The Technicians page appears.
2. Select a technician. Then click Change password.
The Change password window appears.
3. Enter the new password. Then click Apply.
The Verify your identity window appears.
4. Click Continue. Then complete the verification to confirm the password change.
Note: Once the password is changed, the technician is signed out of all active sessions and must sign in again with the new password.
