Atera supports technicians who rely on screen reading software through the Ticket page accessibility setting. When enabled, the Tickets page is rendered in a layout optimized for use with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver, allowing technicians who are blind or have low vision to navigate tickets and have page content read aloud reliably.
The accessible layout simplifies the visual presentation of the Tickets page in favor of a structure that works consistently with assistive technology. Technicians using this setting can move through the page, open tickets, and access ticket details using their screen reader of choice.
Note: Ticket page accessibility is a per-technician setting and only affects the technician for whom it is enabled. Other technicians on the account continue to see the standard Tickets page.
To enable Ticket page accessibility for a technician:
- Go to Admin > Users and security > Technicians.
- Click the technician's name to open the Edit technician page.
- Select the Ticket page accessibility checkbox.
The technician will see the accessibility-optimized Tickets page the next time they navigate to it.
Disable Ticket page accessibility
To return a technician to the standard Tickets page view:
- Go to Admin > Users and security > Technicians.
- Click the technician's name.
- Clear the Ticket page accessibility checkbox.
