If a page in Atera loads blank, appears stuck on a white or grey screen, or shows only part of its content, the cause is often local to your browser rather than a problem with the Atera platform. Outdated cached files, a corrupted cookie, or a browser extension can all prevent a page from rendering.
Complete the checks below in order. Each one rules out a different local cause. If the page still loads blank after all of them, contact Atera Support.
Before you start
Clearing cookies signs you out of Atera and most other websites. Have your Atera credentials available before you begin, including your two-factor authentication method if 2FA is enabled on your account.
If you would rather not sign out of everything, start with Check 1 and Check 4. Neither clears any stored data.
Check 1: Force a hard refresh
A normal refresh can serve the same cached files that caused the blank page. A hard refresh bypasses the cache and re-downloads the page.
With the blank page open, press:
| Browser | Windows and Linux | macOS |
|---|---|---|
| Google Chrome | Ctrl + Shift + R or Ctrl + F5 | Cmd + Shift + R |
| Microsoft Edge | Ctrl + Shift + R or Ctrl + F5 | Cmd + Shift + R |
| Mozilla Firefox | Ctrl + Shift + R | Cmd + Shift + R |
| Safari | Not applicable | Cmd + Option + R |
In Safari you can also hold Shift and select the reload button in the address bar.
If the page loads, no further action is needed.
Check 2: Clear your browser's cache and cookies
On Windows and Linux, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete in your browser to open the clearing options directly. On macOS, press Cmd + Shift + Delete in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
Set the time range to All time, select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then confirm.
If the shortcut does not work, use the menu path for your browser.

Check 3: Try a different browser
Open Atera in a browser you do not normally use and navigate to the same page.
For example, if you normally use Chrome, try Edge or Firefox. If the page loads correctly in the second browser, the issue is specific to your original browser's configuration, cached data, or extensions.
Check 4: Open Atera in a private or Incognito window
A private window runs without your existing cookies, cached files, and most extensions, which makes it a fast way to confirm whether local browser data is the cause.
| Browser | Shortcut | Window name |
|---|---|---|
| Google Chrome | Ctrl + Shift + N, or Cmd + Shift + N on macOS | Incognito window |
| Microsoft Edge | Ctrl + Shift + N | InPrivate window |
| Mozilla Firefox | Ctrl + Shift + P, or Cmd + Shift + P on macOS | Private window |
| Safari | Cmd + Shift + N | Private window |
You can also open a private window from the browser's main menu. On Chrome for Android, select the three-dot menu, then New Incognito tab. On Safari for iOS, open the tab switcher and select Private.
Sign in to Atera in the private window and open the page that was blank.
If the page loads correctly in a private window but not in your normal window, continue to Check 5.
Check 5: Disable your browser extensions
Extensions that modify or block page content are a common cause of blank pages. Ad blockers, script and privacy blockers, VPN extensions, and security add-ons are the most frequent culprits.
Disable extensions in Google Chrome
- Enter
chrome://extensionsin the address bar. - Turn off every extension using the toggle on each card.
- Reload the Atera page that was blank.
Disable extensions in Microsoft Edge
- Enter
edge://extensionsin the address bar. - Turn off every extension.
- Reload the Atera page that was blank.
Disable extensions in Mozilla Firefox
- Enter
about:addonsin the address bar. - Select Extensions, then turn off every extension.
- Reload the Atera page that was blank.
Disable extensions in Safari on macOS
- In the menu bar, select Safari, then Settings.
- Select the Extensions tab.
- Clear the checkbox next to every extension.
- Reload the Atera page that was blank.
If the page now loads, turn your extensions back on one at a time, reloading the Atera page after each, until the blank page returns. The last extension you enabled is the cause. Add Atera to that extension's allowlist, or leave it disabled while using Atera.
If the page is still blank
Contact Atera Support and include the following so the issue can be investigated without additional back-and-forth:
- The exact page or module that loads blank, and the URL shown in your address bar.
- Your browser name and version.
- Your operating system, or device model if you are on mobile.
- Whether other users in your account see the same blank page, or only you.
- A screenshot of the blank page, with the browser address bar visible.
- Confirmation of which checks above you completed, and the result of each.
