The Recent Processes report enables you to see, at-a-glance, the real-time status of recently-run, manual processes, initiated from within Atera, such as the installation of patches and software bundles, installation/uninstallation of software, and scripts that have run.

To view the Recent Processes Report:
1. From Reports (on the sidebar), click General > Recent Processes.
The Recent Processes report page appears.
2. Filter the results by selecting any of the options below:
Time period: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, Last 60 days, or Last 90 days.
Sites
Customers
Types: Patch management, Script, Shutdown actions, Software.

Actions:
Patch management: Installing patches, Uninstalling patches.
Scripting: Running scripts.
Shutdown actions: Logout, Restart, Shutdown
Software: Installing software, Uninstalling software, Updating software.
Statuses: In progress, Ended.
3. To see complete details on the success/failure of each process, click the downward chevron icon ().
View process outcomes
When you want to review outcomes for a specific workflow (e.g., scripting), locate the relevant entries in the report and click the downward chevron next to a site to expand the row and see device-level results. You’ll get a breakdown of outcomes per device, along with fields you can use to narrow what’s shown (these vary slightly by process type).

Notes on each process type

Patch Installation: Shows outcomes for manual patch install/uninstall actions.
- Note: Patch and IT Automation results aren’t included in this report yet.

Scripting: Shows outcomes for scripts run on devices.
- "Completed" means the script ran without returning an error (but not that it necessarily achieved its intended result).
- Click the info icon (
) to view the script output.
- Click the device name to open the Agent Console in a new tab.
- Software Inventory: Shows outcomes for manual software install/uninstall actions (including software bundles).
Status meanings
- Completed: The action completed successfully.
- In progress: The action is still running.
- Pending: The device is offline/unreachable. The action will run once it’s back online (based on the task settings). Learn more
- Failed: The action didn’t complete successfully.
