Atera gives you the tools to remotely monitor your customer networks in real-time, ensuring devices stay healthy and customers stay happy. Alerts allow you to stay on top of potential problems and handle them before your customers are even aware!
You can pause monitoring and alerts for a specified amount of time, for the purposes of taking devices offline for scheduled or routine maintenance. This enables you to perform the needed work without being disturbed by a flood of alerts. Additionally, you can resume alerts at any time, in case the maintenance is completed earlier than expected. 'Snoozing' an alert pauses the notification of this alert, eliminates it from the Alerts Dashboard, and stops it from sending out emails for a specified period of time.
Pause alerts
When alerts are paused on an agent device that monitors non-agent devices (e.g., printers), the alerts on the monitored, non-agent devices will be paused as well, and the devices will display an 'Unavailable' indication.
Pause alerts for a single device
To pause alerts on a single device:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), click the device to open it.
The Agent console appears.
2. In the Alert status section, click Pause alerts.
The Pause Alerts window appears.
3. Select the length of time to pause alerting from the dropdown menu. Then click Pause.
Alerts will be paused for the specified time and will automatically resume after this period — although you can resume them manually at any time.

Snooze alerts
Note: When an alert is snoozed, it applies only to that specific alert instance and value. If the same monitor breaches again with a different value or new trigger event (for example, CPU goes from 85% to 90%), a new alert will be generated, even during the snooze period.
1. From Alerts (on the sidebar), check the box in the row of the alert(s) you want to snooze.
2. Click Snooze ().
The Snooze Alert window appears.
3. From the dropdown menu, select the duration you'd like to snooze the alert(s) for, and then click Snooze.
Enjoy the silence! The snoozed alerts will resume once the snooze timeframe expires — as long as the thresholds are still being breached.
