Manage and secure your Linux system with Atera's Package Manager, enabling you to view, upgrade, and maintain your installed packages with ease.

Install available upgrades
The Available upgrades tab displays a list of available upgrades, with the following information:
- Package name: The unique identifier for the software package.
- Available version: The newest version available for installation.
- Classification: Category or type of software.
- Priority: Level of importance or urgency for the upgrade (optional, important, required, extra).
- Maintainer: Individual or organization responsible for the package's upkeep.
- Install size: Amount of disk space required for the upgrade.
- Status: Current state of the package (Upgradable, Pending, and Failed).
Note: You cannot install upgrades if the device is offline.
To install upgrades:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), find the device and click Manage > Package manager.
Note: You can also access Package management from the Agent console.
The Package manager window appears.
Note: For further details about a package, including its description and dependencies, click the chevron icon ().
2. Check the boxes next to the packages you want to install. Then click Install.

View all packages
The All packages tab displays a list of currently installed packages, with the following information:
- Package name: The unique identifier for the software package.
- Version: The installed version of the package.
- Maintainer: Individual or organization responsible for the package's upkeep.
- Size: The amount of disk space the package occupies.
- Status: Current state of the package (Upgradable, Up to date).
To view all packages:
1. From Devices (on the sidebar), find the device and click Manage > Package management.
Note: You can also access Package management from the Agent console.
The Package manager window appears.
2. Click All packages.
For further details about a package, including its description and dependencies, click the chevron icon ().
Filter available upgrades or packages
You can filter — by status — by hovering your mouse over the status column and clicking the hamburger icon ().
Available upgrades: Filter by 'Upgradable', 'Pending', and 'Failed'.
All packages: Filter by 'Up to date' and 'Upgradable'.
