Upgrade M1 devices
When you try to update an M1 Mac device to a newer version such as Monterey, Ventura, or Sonoma, you may encounter the following message in the Snack bar:
This message appears because a script needs to run on the devices that you are attempting to upgrade. The script is necessary to fulfill the higher permission requirements involved in upgrading an M1 device to newer versions of the operating system.
The script is available in the Shared Script Libray.
