Make IT Autopilot even smarter by giving it all the context it needs about your organization's details, proprietary software, and internal terminology. Providing this context helps reduce user drop-off and delivers more relevant and precise responses tailored to your team. Changes are applied immediately, ready for IT Autopilot's very next conversation with any of your end users.
Navigate to Custom instructions
From the sidebar, go to AI Center > Custom instructions tab.
Note: Full admin permissions are needed to access AI Center.
Filter by Site
Custom instructions can apply to every site or just to specific ones, giving IT Autopilot its own set of unique instructions for each site. Use the dropdown at the top of the page to choose a site and view its instructions, or select All sites to view everything at once.
To add a site-specific custom instruction:
When adding a Software or Definition, click All sites (under Apply to) and select the site(s). Otherwise, the instructions will apply to all sites by default.
Company description
Summarize what the company does in a few sentences — include industry, key activities, and anything that helps Autopilot understand the organization’s context.
Software
Add your internal software so IT Autopilot has all the context it needs. That way, when users ask about your internal tools, IT Autopilot already knows what they mean and can jump straight to solutions.
To add a software:
1. Click Add software.
A new entry row appears.
2. Enter the software name and a short description (include what the software does, who uses it, and how it's used in your organization).
3. Select the relevant site(s), or keep All sites.
4. Click Save.
Note: You can disable or delete software definitions via the ellipses icon.
Definitions
Add the company-specific terms, acronyms, and internal nicknames your team uses day to day, so IT Autopilot can understand and respond more naturally in your context.
To add a definition:
1. Click Add definition.
A new entry row appears.
2. Enter the definition name and a short description (include its meaning within your company, how it's used or applied, and important context, rules, or exceptions).
3. Select the relevant site(s), or keep All sites.
4. Click Save.
Note: You can disable or delete terminology definitions via the ellipses icon.
