Can we just export the ticket info from Atera to Quickbooks, without exporting an invoice?
Unfortunately, this functionality is not supported by the QBO API. In order to overcome this, you can create a recurring contract in Atera and use the Atera invoices exported to QBO.
Can we change the Atera Invoice number?
Currently not. The Invoice number is the unique identifier of the invoice, and changing it may cause collisions. We may add this capability in the future with the proper checks and restrictions.
Can I see the description of the work done, on the invoices?
Yes - if you filled in the ticket and time entry description, you can choose to create an invoice in one of these three levels: Contract, Ticket, and Time Entry. The invoices created will show the description of all levels above the one chosen.
For example: If you choose to create invoices on the “ticket” level, you will see the description added to the contract line and to the ticket line.
Can I add my own logo to the Atera invoice?
Yes, you can do that from the Admin panel > Whitelabel > Reports and Invoices
Can I create a “Freestyle” invoice?
Yes, you can. You can create an ad-hoc invoice and edit existing invoices (soon this will be available also when you connected your account with external accounting software). When editing you can either choose from the available items or type a new one.
Can I connect my account with Xero as well?
Yes, you can read more on the Xero integration here.
Will invoices sync back from QBO to Atera?
We will add support for status sync back, pretty soon. Having said that, if you changed something within the invoice (Line item, rate, product, tax, etc) this will not be reflected back in the Atera invoice. If you want to make sure Atera always reflects the up-to-date invoice, we recommend that you do the changes on the Atera invoice, before exporting.
Can I edit the email on the invoice?
Currently, you can do that on ad-hoc invoices. Soon this will also be available on the invoices created using the invoices batch.
Will I lose all Atera products and services once I started the wizard to connect to external accounting software?
No. Firstly, no change will take place before you finish the wizard. This means you can test it and play around with it, with no effect on your setup.
Even after you commit the changes and you want to roll back the changes, you can disconnect from QBO/Xero, and go back to your previous setup.
