To sign up for a trial:
1. Go to the Atera Signup page
2. Enter your work email and create a password.
Note: The password needs to be between 12 and 48 characters in length, and include both capital and lowercase letters, as well as numbers.
3. Check the box to agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Then click Next.
A verification code is sent to your email.
Note: If you don't see it after a few minutes, check your spam folder.
4. Enter the 4-digit verification code. Then click Verify.
5. Enter your company name. Then click Next.
6. Enter your full name. Then click Next.
7. Select the option that best describes your business:
- Part of an IT department at a company/organization: Open your account under the IT Department solution. Learn more
- Managed service provider (MSP): Open your account under the MSP solution. Learn more
- IT consultant: Open your account under the MSP solution. Learn more
- Other: Open your account under the MSP solution. Learn more
8. Click Next.
9. Select the number of technicians on your team. Then click Next.
10. Enter your phone number (optional). Then click Next.
11. Let us know how you heard about us (optional). Then click Submit.

Activate App Center apps while on trial
The following App Center apps can be activated while on a trial:
Activate a paid subscription
Throughout the trial, a blue ribbon at the top of the Atera console will show you how many days and agent installations you have remaining.
To activate a paid subscription:
1. From the blue ribbon, click Subscribe now.
2. Choose a plan and select annual or monthly billing.
3. Select add-ons. Then click Continue.
4. Complete your checkout:
- Select the payment method (credit card or PayPal).
- Enter your first and last name.
- Enter the card number, expiration date, and CVV number.
- Enter the billing address.
- Select the number of technicians who will use Atera.
- Review your payment, plan, and add-on details.
5. Click Subscribe.
Note: If PayPal is your payment method, click Continue with PayPal to complete your payment.
The trial is closed and your paid subscription is activated immediately.
Deactivate a trial account
No need to deactivate your account — just let the free 30-day trial run its course, and your account will deactivate automatically when the trial ends.
