Atera’s Patch Management and IT Automation enable you to perform a variety of crucial support tasks including patching, software bundle installation, Windows version upgrades, disk management, maintenance, and automated scripting.
In addition to the settings applied to each individual automation profile, there are also settings that can be applied to ALL of your IT automation profiles. This article discusses the setting applied to all of your profiles.
Excluded Patch Settings
In addition to being able to exclude specific OS patches from individual automation profiles, you can also exclude them from all of your automation profiles.
1. From Admin, on the side panel, click on Patch Management and IT Automation.
The Patch Management and IT Automation page appears.
2. Locate the Excluded Patches feature (bottom, left), and click Manage
3. Search for and select patches to exclude, then click Select
The selected patches are now excluded from all automation profiles and can be viewed or edited at any time.
Run on Offline Device Settings
You can select how automation profiles handle offline devices since profiles can only perform tasks on online devices. You can specify how long to keep trying to run profiles on offline devices, in hopes they come back online.
To specify offline device settings:
1. From Admin, on the side panel, click on Patch Management and IT Automation.
The Patch Management and IT Automation page appears.
2. Locate the Settings (Run on offline agents) feature, and select how long to keep trying to run the profile on the device, then click Update
Your setting is now saved and applied to all automation profiles.
