Enable Intune for multiple agent installations, allowing for automatic deployment of agents on numerous devices within a domain environment. Additionally, ensure that any device logging into the domain without the agent already installed receives the necessary installation.
Note:
- Installation via Intune is available for Windows and Mac devices.
- If a device already has the agent installed before you set up installation via Intune, leftover files from the previous installation may cause issues. To avoid this, perform a full cleanup of the device before proceeding.
- Atera doesn't offer support for any installation issues related to Intune. If you do encounter any issues, see:
Install agent on Windows devices via Intune
We'll download the Windows .msi installer, upload it to the Microsoft Intune Admin Center, and then install it via Intune.
Download the Windows installer file
To download the Windows installer file:
1. Clic Install agent button on menu bar (top of any page).
The Install the Atera Agent window appears.
2. Select Windows (.msi). Then click Next.
3. Assign the agent to a site and folder (optional). Then click Next.

4. Click Download to download the .msi installer file.
Upload Windows agent installer to Intune
In order to install the Atera agent on your devices, it is necessary to add the Atera Agent installer to the Microsoft Intune Admin Center. This will enable the deployment of the agent on your devices.
To upload the Windows .msi installer file to Intune:
1. From your Microsoft Intune Admin Center, go to Apps > All Apps.
2. Click + Add.
The Select app type slide out appears.
3. Select Line-of-business app from the Select app type dropdown menu. Then click Select.
The Add App page appears
4. Click Select app package file.
The App package file slide out appears.
5. Click Select a file.
The file selection window appears.
6. Locate and select the Atera Windows Agent installer file. Then click Open.
7. Click OK.
The Add App page appears.
8. Enter Atera Inc. as the Publisher name. Then click Next.
9. In the Assignments section, select the groups, users, or devices. Then click Next.
Note: The assignment of the installer should be based on the site selected during the creation of the installer. This ensures that the appropriate installer is assigned to the respective site for seamless installation.

10. In the Review + create section, ensure that all the details are accurate. Then click Create.
The application has been successfully created. The agent installation process will commence on your devices according to the selected assignment.
