Health checks and actions
AI Copilot is your go-to for executing a wide range of health checks and actions across your Windows and Mac devices (and end users managed through AzureAD). Its capabilities span from fetching lists of Windows startup applications and assessing password complexity for user accounts to activating user accounts and blocking ads on websites. Beyond these examples, AI Copilot's versatility extends into optimizing email management, enhancing system performance, troubleshooting printing and application issues, managing patches, and refining Outlook and file management. This is just a small preview, as there are hundreds of other actions and health checks at your disposal.
Windows overview
- Access and login issues: Address login hiccups by resetting passwords, reviewing recent login attempts, and unlocking user accounts.
- Email management and delivery issues: Take control of your inbox by managing who's on the blacklist, adding emails to distribution lists, and blocking undesired senders.
- Slow performance: Boost your system's speed by monitoring running processes, checking CPU usage, and switching to "Power saver" mode when necessary.
- Printing issues: Solve printer-related problems by ensuring proper connectivity, clearing job queues, and updating printer drivers.
- Application issues: Keep applications running smoothly with updates, restarts, crash log checks, and new software installations.
- Patches: Keep your devices secure and efficient by finding and installing the latest patches.
- Outlook management: Enhance Outlook's performance by restarting it in safe mode and verifying email profiles are correctly configured.
- File management: Manage your files effectively by restoring deleted items from the recycle bin, adjusting folder visibility, and emptying the recycle bin.
- Azure AD management: Maintain your Azure AD with actions like adding members to groups and updating user account details.
-
End-user readiness checks: Copilot can pull from your knowledge base and run automated diagnostics on a device in the same response — perfect for one-shot questions from end users.
Example: An employee heading to a conference asks IT, "Is my laptop ready?" Copilot pulls up your travel readiness KB article and runs an automated security baseline check on the device, then delivers a verdict (e.g., "from an IT and security standpoint, this laptop is good to go").
