Due to recent tax law changes in the U.S., sales tax must now be charged on SaaS (Software as a Service) products in certain states. Atera falls within the SaaS product category, and is obligated to comply with the new laws. State sales taxes are calculated by Atera Networks Ltd's merchant service provider based on your billing address.
As such, please note all relevant invoices may now include a line to demonstrate the collection of sales tax for the services used under your Atera subscription and/ or any add-ons.
If your company is registered as tax exempt or maintains a reseller certificate, please let us know, or upload your exemption certificate in Atera (instructions below). Sales tax will be added to your Atera subscription cost if you are registered in any one of the following states (which require it):
- Arizona
- Connecticut
- Hawaii
- Iowa
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Minnesota
- Mississippi
- New Mexico
- New York
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina

- Utah
- Washington
- Washington D.C.
- West Virginia
