The Service Portal is where your users can create, view and track support tickets, reply to tickets, as well as view articles and support materials. The password can be set or changed at any time. This article provides instructions for changing the password by either the IT department or the user.
Change the service portal password
1. Click on the Sites page and select the specific site.
2. Click the Users section, and select the user for which you wish to change the service portal password.
The User page appears
3. In the Permissions section (left side of the User page), click on Portal Password.
4. Change the password and click the icon to save.
User password reset
Users can change their password directly within the Service portal by navigating to My profile (on the sidebar). The My Profile page appears.
The user can then change his/her password under 'Portal password' and click Update to save the changes.
Email password reset
If your users forget their Service Portal password, they can reset it themselves from the Service Portal login page by clicking Forgot Password?
Your user can input their email address on the Reset Password page and we'll send a password reset code to the email address provided.
Note: Before requesting a password reset or logging in using the activation link, please ensure that the contact is created first as a User in the Atera console under the relevant Site.
