Splashtop SOS can be used via Atera to remote into devices that don't have the Atera Agent.
Getting started
To activate and use the 'Quick Connect' feature in Atera (Splashtop SOS), you'll need to purchase the 'Splashtop SOS' application directly from Splashtop, or sign up for the free trial.
To download and install Splashtop SOS:
1. Go to http://www.splashtop.com/sos
2. Click Buy now (or Free trial).
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install Splashtop SOS.
Connect with Splashtop SOS
Once you've downloaded and installed Splashtop SOS, you can connect to your end-user devices.
Note: Splashtop SOS remote access type is set to 'Attended', which means the end user is required at their device. For 'Unattended' access, see Splashtop remote access
To connect to a device with Splashtop SOS:
1. Send your end user this Splashtop link: "sos.splashtop.com" (and tell them to click it).
Note: They'll need to share with you the 9-digit code that appears after the application runs.
2. Click your user profile pic in the top, right-hand corner of the screen. Then click Quick Connect.
The Quick Connect - Splashtop SOS window appears.
3. Enter the 9-digit customer session code that your customer gave you.
4. Enter your Splashtop account email.
Note: This needs to be the same email address that you used to register with Atera.
5. Click Connect.
The Open Splashtop Business OOBE prompt appears.
6. Click Open Splashtop Business OOBE.
