Hardware Readiness PowerShell Script
Microsoft has released the Hardware Readiness PowerShell script as an interim solution for assessing device compatibility. Here's how to get started:
- Running Locally: For individual devices, the script can be executed from an elevated PowerShell prompt.
- Running in bulk: To run the script on multiple devices, you can use IT Automation profiles directly from Atera, or if your plan supports it, you can attach the script to a Script Based Custom field, which will give you the output of the script directly inside the Agent console.

Run Hardware Readiness via IT Automation profiles
You can leverage this script in Atera by running it through IT Automation profiles. When the profile executes, it generates a report with the script's output, which can be downloaded as a CSV file to provide an overview of Windows 11-compatible devices. This option is available to all Atera customers, with no plan restrictions.

This also allows you to generate advanced reports based on the field to get a quick overview of all devices that are compatible or not.

Generate Advance report
If you have created a script-based custom field that checks if a device is capable of being upgraded to Windows 11, you can use Advance Reports to view data in bulk.
1. From the Atera dashboard, click on the Reports section.
2. Click the + button next to Analytical reports.
3. On the New report window, select the Agents dataset and click on Build report.
4. On the Explore page, click the Account Custom Fields option.
5. Search for the Script-based custom field you have generated.
6. Select any other fields that you want to have inside the report, like Agent Name, OS Envoierment Name, etc, and click on Run.
The report will generate, showing you the output of the script-based custom field.
