Atera’s Patch Management and IT Automation lets you perform a variety of crucial support tasks including patching, software bundle installation, Windows version upgrades, disk management, maintenance, automated scripting, and more. An automation profile with any of the above tasks can be scheduled to run one-time, weekly, monthly, or flexibly.

Add scripts to automation profile
To add a script to an automation profile:
1. Go to to Admin > Monitoring and Automation > Patch Management and IT Automation.
The Patch Management and IT Automation page appears.
2. Select the profile.
The Profile page appears.
3. Under Scripts, click Add script.
The Select script window appears.
5. Find the script. Then click Select.
Note:
- You can add scripts from the Shared Script Library. Click the Shared Script Library tab to clone a script. After cloning it, it will appear as a selectable option in the My scripts tab.
- You can add newly-created scripts. Click Create script to create a new script (or generate one via AI Copilot) in a new browser tab. After creating your script, return to the Select script window, click the Refresh icon (), and it will appear as a selectable option with the My scripts tab.
- You can add multiple scripts to the automation profile.
The script is added to the profile.
6. Click Save to save the automation profile.
The script will run at the profile’s next scheduled execution.
Note: You can execute the profile on all assigned devices immediately by clicking Run now (top right).
