Help CenterAtera's mobile app lets you connect to a customer's devices, view their associated alerts, and gain key insights about the status of their software inventories, hardware, and disks.
Note: For your convenience, we've cropped many of the images below to make things a little cozier while still displaying the proper functionality of the mobile app.
The Devices page
To view and access devices:
1. Tap Sites. Then select the site.
1. Tap Customers. Then select the customer.
2. Tap the Devices tab.
The Devices tab displays a list of all your site's devices.

The Device page
The Device page contains the following tabs:
General
The General tab displays general device information, which includes:
- Availability: Online or offline.
- Workgroup: The workgroup to which the device belongs.
- Last seen: The date and time the device was last seen online.
- Last logged user: The user name, date, and time for the last login.
- Last reboot time: The date and time for the last reboot.
- IP address: The device's current IP address.
- Site: The site to which the device belongs. Click it to return to Site's General tab.
- Customer: The customer to which the device belongs. Click it to return to Customer's General tab.
- Folder: The folder to which the device belongs.
- Machine name: The name of the device.
- Availability monitoring status: The device status (see Monitor device availability).
- Device added: The timestamp of the agent installation.
- Users: The users associated with the device. Click a user link to go to the User tab.
- Contacts: The contacts associated with the device. Click a contact link to go to the Contact tab.
Alerts
The Alerts tab displays a list of all the device's associated alerts, the processes that triggered them, and the option to resolve or snooze them. Learn more
Software
The Software tab displays the device's OS edition, version, and build, as well as the Office version.
Hardware
The Hardware tab displays the following information:
- Vendor: The device vendor (e.g., Lenovo, Dell).
- Model: The device model (e.g., 'MacBook Pro', '20W000C8US', 'VMware7,1').
- Serial number: The device's serial number.
- Motherboard: The device's motherboard details.
- Processor: The device's CPU information.
- Memory: The device's RAM information.
- BIOS manufacturer:The BIOS producer (Windows devices only).
- BIOS version: The BIOS version number (Windows devices only).
- BIOS version date: The BIOS release date (Windows devices only).
- System drive: The main storage drive information.
- Video card: The device's GPU details.
- Sound: The device's audio hardware details.
- MAC addresses: The unique identifiers for the device's network interfaces.
Disks
The Disks tab displays the following information:
- Drive: The drive on which the agent is installed.
- Total: The total disk space available (in gigabytes and percentages).
- Used: The used disk space (in gigabytes and percentages).
- Free: The amount of disk space remaining (in gigabytes and percentages).
- Disk: The name or identifier of the disk.
- Media type: The type of storage media (e.g., SSD, HDD).
- Model: The model number or name of the disk.
- BitLocker protection: The status of BitLocker encryption ('On' or 'Off').
- Serial number: The unique identifier of the disk.
- Partitions: The number of disk partitions.
- Interface/Bus type: The connection type of the disk (e.g., SCSI, NVMe).
- Operational status: The current operational status of the disk.
- Health status: The overall health of the disk.
- Firmware version: The version of the disk's firmware.
Security
Battery
The Battery tab displays the following information (Windows devices only):
- Battery ID: The ID of the battery.
- Battery health: The health of the battery (measured as the full charge capacity divided by design capacity)
- Battery design capacity: The battery's original maximum energy when new.
- Battery full charge capacity: The current maximum amount of energy the battery can store.
- Battery cycle count: The number of times the battery has been charged and drained.
Passwords
The Passwords tab shows site, user, agent, and device passwords. Click a password to view and copy it.

To access the device page:
1. From Customers, tap the customer's name.
The customer's page appears.
2. Tap the Devices tab to view the customer's available device(s).
3. Tap a device to open the device page.
Add a device
To add an agent:
1. From Customers, select a customer.
2. Tap the Devices tab. Then tap the plus icon.
3. Select the OS for the agent installation link.
Note: For Mac and Linux agents, you can copy/share the cURL command for Terminal. For Windows agents, you can copy/share the installation link or cURL command for the Command Prompt.
4. Tap Done.
Once installed, the agent will appear in the Devices tab.
Connect to a device
Remotely connect to devices via the mobile app.
Note: To remote to a certain device from the mobile app, you need to initiate at least one remote connection from the web app (app.atera.com) on that specific device. In case no remote connections were made to the device from the web app, Splashtop will fail to establish a remote connection from the mobile app.
To remotely connect to a device:
1. From Customers, tap a customer. The customer page appears.
2. Tap the Devices tab to view the customer's devices.
3. Choose a device. If you can't find it, you can always search for it
The device page appears.
4. Tap Connect.
Note: Users who do not have Splashtop installed on their device will receive an alert prompting them to download it. Learn more
5. Once downloaded, the following message appears, stating that Splashtop can only be launched from an RMM management app (like Atera).
6. Return to the Atera Mobile App, and open Splashtop when prompted.
The first time you use Splashtop on your mobile device, you will see a 'Hints' overlay showing information on gestures that can be used within the remote connection.
7. Click Continue, and the remote connection begins.
Run a script on a device
1. From Customers, tap your customer to open it.
2. Tap the Devices tab.
3. Select the device. The Device page appears.
4. Tap the ellipses icon ().
5. Select Run script. The Run script page appears.
6. Select the script. The script page appears, detailing:
- Script name: The name of the script.
- Description: A brief overview of what the script does.
- Category: The specific group or classification that the script belongs to.
- File type: The file type of the script (e.g., .exe, .sh).
- Run as: The user or system account that the script is set to run as.
- Max run time: The maximum allowed running time for the script.
- Variables: Any variables used within the script.
- Author: The creator or publisher of the script.
- Upload date: The date when the script was uploaded.
- Clones: The number of times other Atera users have duplicated the script (if applicable).
- Votes: The number of upvotes the script received in the Shared Script Library (if applicable).
Restart, shut down, or log out of a device
To , restart, shut down or log out of a device:
1. From Customers, tap your customer to open it.
2. Tap the Devices tab.
3. Select the device. The Device page appears.
4. Tap the ellipses icon ().
5. Select Restart, Shut down, or Log out. Then confirm.
Nice! A snackbar will appear notifying you that the request has been sent to the agent.

To access a device's alerts:
1. From Customers, tap a customer. The customer page appears.
2. Tap the Devices tab.
3. Tap a device. The Device page appears.
4. Tap the Alerts tab to view the device's associated alerts.
