Run scripts on your Windows, Mac, and Linux devices to streamline operations. You can run scripts that you've created, generated with AI Copilot, uploaded, or cloned (from your team scripts or from the Shared Script Library).

Run a script

For customized scripting, you can create, upload, clone, or generate scripts with AI Copilot. You can also run any script from the Shared Script Library.

Note: The following file types are supported:

• Batch (.bat)
• PowerShell (.ps1)
• Shell (.sh)
• Executable file (.exe)
• Microsoft Installer (.msi)

To run a script:

1. From Devices (on the sidebar), click the Manage dropdown menu on the device.

2. Select Run script.

The Run script window appears.

• The Team scripts tab displays your account's created, uploaded, and AI-generated scripts, as well as scripts cloned from your team scripts or from the Shared Script Library.
• The Shared Script Library tab contains scripts written and uploaded by Atera and other Atera users.

3. Search for the script. Then click Run.

The Script execution summary window appears.

Look for Exit code: 0 to confirm the script or application ran as expected without any errors.

Review script runs

You can review script executions in the Recent Processes Report.

Each script run is also recorded in the audit log, together with the technician who ran it. For more information, see Analyze audit logs.
