Understanding the Patch and automation feedback report
Summary information
The first section of the report displays summary information:
- Profiles in report: The total number of IT automation profiles included in the report.
- Tasks run: The total number of tasks run in the reporting period.
- Agents in report: The total number of distinct agents included in the reporting period.
- Task success rate: The total percentage of tasks completed in the reporting period.
- Failed actions: The total number of tasks that ran — but failed — in the reporting period.
- Actions not executed: The total number of tasks that never ran (agent offline, connectivity issue, firewall, etc) in the reporting period.
Tasks
This section of the report displays task-specific information (ordered by date), which includes feedback on:
- Disk management:
- Defragment
- Maintenance:
- Create system restore point
- Delete temporary files
- Scripts
- OS patch management:
- Windows updates
- Critical updates
- Security updates: Security updates, Definition updates, and Update rollups
- Service packs: Service pack updates, Feature packs, and Updates
- Drivers and tools: Hardware driver updates, Office updates, and Tool updates
- Mac updates
- Linux package upgrades
- Software patch management:
- Update all
- Software bundle
- Upgrades:
- Windows 10 upgrades
- Windows 11 upgrades
To identify task info, look out for:
- The name of the IT Automation Profile.
- The task type (e.g., Scripts, OS Patch Management, Maintenance, Upgrades).
- The Name of the action within the task type.
- The task result:
- A green tick displays for a successfully completed task.
- A red X displays for a task completed with errors.
- You can view the agent(s) on which actions were successfully completed or failed.
Generate a Patch and automation feedback report
To generate the Patch and Automation Feedback report:
1. From Reports (on the sidebar) > click Monitoring > Patch and automation feedback.
The Patch & automation feedback report page appears.
2. Select the report parameters:

Time Period: Choose your time period from the options provided or set your own custom range. Then click Apply.
Note: Last X Days refers to the previous X days while the Last X Months refers to the previous X calendar months. For example, if you select Last 60 Days on June 15th, the period will be April 17 - June 15. If you select Last Two Months on June 15th, the period will be April 1 - May 31. - Customer Name
- Site Name
- Agent Name(s)
- IT Automation Profile(s)
- IT Automation Task(s)
Note: If you'd like to exclude devices that are no longer in use, check Exclude retired devices. To define a retired device, go to Admin > My account > Account settings > Agents. Learn more
3. Click Generate.

To export the Patch and automation feedback report:
Click the Export dropdown, in the upper-right corner of the report, and select Excel or PDF.
