Create your own software bundles by selecting applications from your Homebrew or Chocolatey repositories — or your exclusive private stash (private software repository)! You can attach software bundles to your IT automation profiles, to deploy upon a scheduled run, ensuring all your devices have the right software and versions.
Create a software bundle
You can create software bundles for your Windows (Chocolatey and private repo) and Mac (Homebrew) devices.
To create a software bundle:
1. From Admin (on the sidebar), click Software management.
The Software management page appears.
2. From the Software bundles tab, click Create bundle. Then select the OS type for your bundle.
The Create software bundle window appears.
3. Enter the bundle name.
4. Search for the software in the search bar. Then click Add to include it in the bundle. Do this as many times as necessary to add all needed software to the bundle.
Note: When viewing software in the bundle, the version shown refers to the version at the time the software was added. However, when installing the bundle, the newest version of the software will be installed. If you don’t want the latest available version of a software installed, you can exclude it in the associated IT automation profile (under Excluded software patches).
5. Click Create.
Your newly created software bundle appears in the Software bundles tab — where it can be edited, cloned, or deleted
Install software bundle
There are multiple ways to install software bundles. This includes manually managing devices and installations via IT automation profiles.
Note: Installing a bundle via a device's Manage option will result in the installation of the chosen software versions that were available at the time the bundle was initially created. To install the most recent version of the software, associate the software bundle with an IT Automation profile
