In addition to Atera's general subscription, there are a number of useful add-ons you can take advantage of. This article details add-on pricing as well as billing information.
General Subscription
Atera's general subscription, whether monthly or annually, is charged automatically in advance; if your billing cycle is on the 2nd of every month, you will pay for Atera on March 2nd for the duration of March 2nd through April 1st.
Note:
- All licenses under the same account must be on the same package (Pro, Growth, or Power) and on the same billing period (monthly or annually).
- You can review your Atera billing history from Admin > Subscription > Invoices tab.
Network Discovery
Network Discovery is an add-on service and costs $29 per month, billed annually, or $39 per month, billed monthly, on top of Atera's general subscription cost. If your current Atera billing is monthly, Network Discovery must also be billed monthly. Our Network Discovery add-on is charged in advance and is activated for all the active users in your Atera account.
Note:
- A free, 14-day trial is available (even if you've already tried Network Discovery in the past). After the trial ends, your subscription will begin.
- You will be billed based on the maximum number of protected devices you have during your billing cycle, regardless of their installation date.
Important Note
For the following add-ons in Atera (Acronis, Bitdefender, Online Backup, Webroot, and Work From Home) the charge is applied based on your maximum usage for the previous 30-day duration.
In other words, if your cycle is on the 16th of each month, your charge applied on September 16th is for usage from August 16th through September 15th.
Acronis
Acronis Cyber Protect is charged at ¢14 per GB per month for Cloud Backup and ¢7 per GB per month for Local Backup. If you are using both on a device, the total charge will be ¢21 per GB per month charged on separate invoices per backup service.

- A free, 30-day trial is available. You will only be charged once your trial ends, or if you change from trial to production mode within Acronis.
- You will be billed based on the maximum number of protected devices you have during your billing cycle, regardless of their installation date.
Bitdefender
The cost for Atera's Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud integration is $1.20 per month, per protected device. You will be billed based on the maximum number of devices installed during your billing cycle.
The optional add-ons, which costs are as follows:
- Disk Encryption costs an extra $1.10 per device per month
- Email Security costs an extra $1.80 per device per month; it is billed per mailbox
- Exchange Security costs an extra $1.10 per mailbox
- Advanced Threat Security costs an extra $1.50 per device per month
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) costs an extra $1.30 per device per month
Note:
- By default, Disk Encryption, Email Security, and Exchange Security are enabled. However, Advanced Threat Security is disabled by default. Learn how to enable or disable Bitdefender add-on features
- A free, 45-day trial is available. After the trial ends, your subscription will begin.
- You will be billed based on the maximum number of protected devices you have during your billing cycle, regardless of their installation date.

Online Backup
The price for Online Backup is $0.20 per GB per month.
For each backup device created and installed, you need to specify the Backup Size Quota. However, we do not charge based on the size quota that you select but on the actual data stored in the cloud for the respective device. We will capture your daily usage each day during your billing cycle and you will be charged according to the max usage in the previous 30 days.
Note: You will be billed based on the maximum number of protected devices you have during your billing cycle, regardless of their installation date.
Webroot
Webroot Antivirus costs $1.20 per endpoint per month.
Webroot DNS Protection comes at an extra $1.20 per network device per month. When deployed on the network, billing for DNS Protection is usage-based and every 75,000 DNS requests are the equivalent of 1 license ($1.20 per month).
Webroot Security Awareness Training (SAT) comes at an extra $1 per email address (user) per month.
Note: You will be billed based on the maximum number of protected devices you have during your billing cycle, regardless of their installation date. As such, please be sure to remove any and all inactive devices to ensure accurate billing.
- For example, let's say your billing cycle date is on the 20th and you have 100 endpoints using Webroot AV protection, but 50 of those 100 endpoints were installed two weeks prior to your billing cycle end date. In this scenario, you will be invoiced $120 ($1.2 * 100) as the charge is based on usage in the previous 30 days.
- Similarly, let's say your billing cycle date is on the 20th and you have 100 endpoints using Webroot AV protection, but 20 of those 100 endpoints were un-installed two weeks prior to your billing cycle end date. You will be invoiced $120 ($1.2 * 100) as the charge is based on the maximum usage in the previous 30 days.
Work From Home
The Work From Home add-on is charged at $5 per month per computer with enabled remote access. You will be billed based on the maximum number of devices you enabled for Work From Home in the last 30 days.
Note:
- A free, 7-day trial is available. After the trial ends, your subscription will begin. You will not be charged until you enable remote access on at least one customer device.
- You will be billed based on the maximum number of enabled devices you have during your billing cycle, regardless of their installation date
